Financial Liverpool: Supporting your client throgh Dementia Awareness

This masterclass provides financial planners and professional advisers with practical, real-world insight into supporting clients affected by dementia. Delivered by Liz Tomlinson, an experienced Admiral Nurse from Dementia UK, the session will deepen your understanding of dementia and its impact on individuals, families, and decision-making.

Attendees will gain the confidence to approach sensitive conversations, recognise early indicators, and adapt their professional practice to better support vulnerable clients. Drawing on frontline experience from Dementia UK’s Helpline and Dementia at Work Team, Liz will share practical strategies, case-based insights, and guidance that can be immediately applied in client interactions.

The session will also highlight the role of Admiral Nurses—specialist dementia nurses who provide expert clinical advice, emotional support, and future planning guidance—helping you understand how and when to signpost clients and their families for additional support.
