Health & Wellbeing Event  - Thursday 16th April 2026 - Clayton Hotel, Belfast

 

07:15am - 08:15am - Yoga Session 

Rosie Gillanders, Director of Hot Yoga Cookstown Ltd

Rosie loves to share her passion of Yoga; striving to help students move in a way that feels good. Her teaching philosophy and classes are centred on creating a space where students can show up as their authentic selves - a place to move in a way that feels good and cultivate a deeper connection between their mind, body and soul. Rosie believes Yoga is for everyBODY and is passionate about making it accessible to all.

Available for the first 20 members on a first come first serve basis in Titanic Suite First floor.

If you are unable to come to the main event you can still avail of the Yoga session.

At the event there will also be a blood pressure clinic throughout the morning, where members can get their blood pressure checked.

About Insula Wellbeing

Founded in Bangor, Northern Ireland, Insula Wellbeing provides preventative, proactive, and clinically grounded mental health support to individuals, businesses, and community organisations. 

Now running a private mental health business with a team of highly qualified therapists, who work daily with individuals and businesses to bridge the gaps in current mental health provision.

With over 45 years of combined clinical experience, Sharon and Jessica bring extensive expertise from both statutory and private mental health services.

The team have worked extensively with insurers and brokers understanding the unique competing demands they face.

Sharon is a registered Mental Health Social Worker with over 25 years’ experience working across Community Mental Health Teams, Emergency Mental Health Services, and Home Treatment Teams. Her background includes specialist work in assessment, crisis intervention, therapeutic support, and early intervention services.

Jessica is a registered Senior Mental Health Occupational Therapist with over 20 years’ experience. She holds postgraduate qualifications in Cognitive Therapy, Vocational Rehabilitation, and Sensory Attachment, and has extensive experience delivering comprehensive mental health assessments and evidence-based therapeutic interventions for the real pressures facing members working in the insurance profession.

Dr Ian Menown MB BCH BAO, MD, MRCP (UK), FRCP (EDIN)

Dr Menown is a Consultant Cardiologist and Director of Interventional Cardioilogy at Craigavon Cardic Centre, Crasigavon Hospital in Northern Ireland.

Ian is current President of the Irish Atherosclerosis Society and is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Queen's University, Belfast. His special interests include general and acute cardiology, chest pain assessment/coronary artery disease, interventional cardiology (angioplasty/stenting), electrophysiology (specifically management of atrial fibrillation), heart failure, cholesterol management and coronary prevention/risk reduction. In addition to a comprehensive acute cardiac care and outpatient service, over the last 15 years Dr Menown has undertaken among the 20% highest volumes of interventional cardiology (stent) cases in the UK.

Dr Menown received his medical degree with distinction from the Queens University of Belfast and trained in Cardiology in Belfast before completing an interventional fellowship at Vancouver Hospital and Health Sciences Centre, BC, Canada. He obtained a postgraduate doctorate of medicine, the Purce medal and JD Williams prize for his research in improving early detection of acute coronary syndromes. He has been elected to Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh and Fellowship of the European Society of Cardiology. 

11.15am to 11.30am - My Journey - Geoff Clarke

Geoff Clarke  Partner and Head of Office Befast for XPS a leading UK Consulting and administration business specialising in the pensions sector.

Geoff is a council member of the IINI and Personal Finance Society and will speak on his journey pre and post major heart surgery.
