Awareness Week ‘Dementia Friends’ session now booking

During this year’s Awareness Week, the insurance community can join a free online ‘Dementia Friends’ session on Thursday 22nd June 12 pm-1 pm. You can book your place here.
Alzheimer’s Society’s Dementia Friends programme is the biggest-ever initiative to change people’s perceptions of dementia. It aims to transform how the nation thinks, acts, and talks about the condition.
Often people stop doing the things they enjoy in their local community as their dementia progresses because they are worried about getting the support they need. This is due to a lack of understanding, the stigma of the condition, confusing processes, and inaccessible environments. The impact on people’s quality of life and implications on their health is huge.
