Time to start your pathway to CII Qualifications

Following our previous successes with fast-track Diploma and Advanced Diploma we are now launching a Fast Track to Cert qualification.

We appreciate that taking the first steps to being CII qualified can be daunting and can often start at the early point in your insurance career. As such Perth and Dundee institute would like to support you on your pathway.

This programme offers members the opportunity to benefit from a FREE invaluable study course specifically designed to support students in attaining qualifications through structured group learning.

Applications are now open to all Perth and Dundee institute members who are looking to obtain the certificate level qualification.

The course Overview:

The course will focus on 3 areas:

  • IF1 Insurance, Legal and Regulatory
  • IF4 Insurance Claims Handling Process
  • IF3 Insurance Underwriting Process

By attending this course, you will be able to identify the best techniques to use to pass your exams. Additionally you will achieve a rounded view of:

  • The different types of risk
  • The UK Market
  • The six principles of insurance
  • The legal and regulatory aspects of insurance
  • Understand the general principles of claims including the handling, the operations and the management of claims.
  • The approach to risk from an underwriters perspective including rating models, hazards components of premium and reinsurance.

Thursday 16 May IF4 session one

Thursday 23 May IF4 session two

Wednesday 12 June IF3 session one

Wednesday 19 June IF3 session two

Entry criteria...

  • You must be a CII member
  • You work within the profession in either Perth or Dundee (or surrounding areas where agreed)
  • Your application should be supported by your line manager / employer
  • You (or your employer) will be required to pay for coursework entry fees, study materials, travel costs and any additional costs incurred
  • You must be able to attend all proposed dates unless previously agreed
