The “purpose of duty” and a major new approach to professional negligence claims from the Supreme Court
In 2021 the Supreme Court, consisting of seven justices, handed down judgment in two cases (Manchester Building Society v Grant Thornton UK LLP and Khan v Meadows). The Supreme Court has created a new roadmap and provided guidance on this area of law that will have major ramifications.
