SII Social - Rum Tasting

Last year the SII hosted a successful evening with ‘The Little Gin Company’, this year we bring you … ‘The Little Rum Company’.

The Little Rum Company will provide a tantalising tasting sequence of rums for you to sample followed by the chance to make (and drink!) some classic rum cocktails.

The evening will include:

• Welcome rum cocktail for everyone on arrival to get the rum flowing!

• An introduction to the evening, an overview of rum, where it comes from, how it is made and the different types of rum available

• A tasting sequence of four different rums - all rums will be served neat in a tasting glass as a half measure. Ginger beer, coca-cola and water will be provided if anyone would like to add a splash instead of trying it neat.

• Following the tasting sequence you can choose your favourite rum to enjoy as a full drink, or choose a cocktail from a bespoke selection based on the rums tried

• Further drinks can be purchased at a cost of £5 each
