This session will explore retirement income strategies, sequencing risk and how changing client needs are shaping retirement planning.

Learning Objectives

By the end of the session, you will be able to:

  • Identify planning opportunities and ways to manage sequencing risk.
  • Explore different retirement income and investment strategies.
  • Understand how the changing pensions market is affecting client needs and retirement planning.

CPD Session 2 – ATSIPP

  • Understand how SIPPs can be used as an effective IHT planning tool.
  • Explore how the changing IHT treatment of pensions may influence SIPP planning.
  • Understand how commercial property within a pension can support business owners.
  • Identify why property within pensions can remain an effective solution in the post-IHT-on-pensions landscape.

This session will explore the changing Inheritance Tax landscape, pension changes, Business Relief and intergenerational planning.

  • Understand how pension changes may affect clients' IHT positions.
  • Identify where Business Relief can support wider estate planning.
  • Explore opportunities for effective intergenerational planning.
