“The biggest change in Pension rules since simplification” ripping up and replacing nearly 20 years of Pension Legislation.
If you answer ‘yes’ to any of the following you could have clients who are particularly impacted by the changes
- My client has taken less than 25% PCLS from previously crystallised rights such as DB schemes.
- My client is 75+ or will reach 75 before 6th April 2024.
- My client had no LTA protection and crystallised benefits between 6th April 2016 and 5th April 2020.
- My client transferred to a QROPS in the past and has transferred back to the UK.
Learning objectives
By the end of the session, participants will be able to understand

Understand the changes in legislation brought about by the abolition of the LTA.

Understand how the changes affect both the client’s retirement planning and pension legacy planning.

Being able to identify clients who could benefit from a Transitional Tax Free Tax Amount Certificate and understanding the requirements to obtain one.

Phil is a qualified Chartered Financial Planner with over 35 years experience in the Financial Services industry. He has been a member of the Quilter team for over 8 years, having previously held various roles at a well known Scottish office.
