I am delighted and honoured to be taking on the position of President of Exeter’s Insurance Institute for a two-year term.

I am privileged to have had Phil Wilson as the immediate past President and am looking to maintain the fantastic work achieved by Phil during his term and continuing to deliver the varied and enriching CII and PFS CPD events that are such an essential part of our institute.

Becoming involved in Exeter’s local institute council three years ago was one of the best decisions I have made. Engaging with other insurance industry professionals through the institute has been enjoyable and enriching and being able to give back to the profession is something I look forward to focussing on during my presidency.

I look forward to developing the outreach work that the institute performs in local schools and colleges. Like many of us, I fell accidentally into this fascinating industry and often wonder how my career would have differed if I had understood the possibilities and opportunities available to me a lot sooner. I will aim to strengthen our existing school links and build new relationships for the future.
