President's Message

I am delighted to have taken on the role of President of the Insurance and Actuarial Society of Glasgow. IASG has been going from strength to strength for 143 years – it is one of the largest in the UK with over 4000 member - and I will do my utmost to make sure it continues to thrive in the forthcoming year.

If you have not already done so, I would urge you to sign up for email notifications for all our events – Webinars, Seminars, Mentoring Sessions, Fast Track Programme, social events etc. This is the best way to make sure you don’t miss anything.

You can also follow us on X and LinkedIn and our new Communications Officer, 2023's Young Professional of the Year, Lydia Clark, will be keeping the website updated with what’s on.

IASG Young Professionals' Ceilidh Social 2024

We would like to invite you to the IASG’s Young Professional Committee’s Ceilidh Social on Friday 27th September! Tickets are free and everyone is welcome, regardless of your position or experience in insurance. It will be an extremely fun night, with dancing, food and a charity raffle in aid of our president’s (Ruth Murray) chosen charities: MS Society and Parkinson’s UK.
