AF7 Revision Seminar

Lorne Hotel
Thursday, 17 August 2017
2:00 pm – 7:00 pm (UK time)

Club FS is happy to announce that their next event will focus on the AF7 examination.

1. There are 7 modules in AF7 and 10 modules in AF3. The AF7 exam it is very accessible. It is 2hrs and has a 60% pass mark. I think more than 31% will pass it on this first sitting, so get in quick.

2. The exam is on 10 October at 2pm and you can sit both the AF3 and AF7 on the same day as AF3 exam. You can ‘’double-bubble’’ your study and get 50 credits for the same study (if you are planning to sit AF3 and get the gold badge).

3. The exam is an integral part of the AF3 course: you can do them both at the same time and not have to think about it. You have two more opportunities to do just that - AF3 is going to be here for October 2017 and April 2018.

4. The AF7 in two parts: 4 short answer questions – technical competence

5. And second, pension transfer advice case studies. We have added two new modules and revamped the whole course to adapt it to be future-proofed for advisers giving advice on occupational pension transfers.

6. It’s a must for practicing PTS advisers AND aspiring PTS advisers; whether you are a competent PTS or want to become a competent PTS, this exam is all about your ability to give advice on complex pension transfers.

7. It’s a no-brainer for all those who pride themselves in keeping up-to-date and want to be part of the future: the future is bright.

We’ll be going through the syllabus in detail; we’ll dissect it and re-assemble it in a way which is easy to digest.

We’ll go through the key pension transfer topics and spend time to explain exactly what it means to critically evaluate a transfer and provide you a structure to frame your critical analysis.

For the first time the CII are expecting you to advise in an exam – and that we’ll help you understand what advice looks like in the AF7.
