POSTPONED: Mentor / Mentee Scheme 2020: Event one - Trading in a more challenging market
Over the past few years the IASG have ran a series of successful mentor / mentee events aimed at a wide range of our members across the profession. We are happy to announce that we will be running this successful programme again across 2020 – starting on the 21st April.
Why should I get involved?
As a mentee the events are designed to give you the opportunity to meet a wide range of senior leadership and motivational people from the Glasgow insurance and financial service industries. With the aim in helping you to develop a wider network of contacts, find out how others developed careers within insurance, gain a better understanding of the wide range of roles and assist in your personal growth.
The event on the 21st April is focused on the changing Commercial insurance market. We will have experts from the local insurance industry on hand to expain why that is as well as providing hints and tips on how best to trade in this more challenging market.
It's a chance also for them to find out a bit more about you, but also for you to learn a few things and get a bit of advice along the way on their career journeys.
It's a great chance to make new connections – so remember to bring along plenty of business cards (if you don't have them don't worry) and have a think before the event about what you might be asked.
The mentors will also offer constructive feedback and support around your own development.
Please note a buffet and drinks will be available before and after the event.
Interested in becoming a mentor?
If you feel that you can offer something to our mentees then please get in touch – we are after your advice, knowledge and input to help foster the development of the next generation of young professionals in the insurance and financial services industry.
