Boolers Triumph in General Knowledge Quiz

Boolers Triumph in General Knowledge Quiz
7 December 2022

On Thursday 10th November the Institute held a “one-off’ General Knowledge Quiz as part of our attempt to get Institute offices and members involved in social activities again after 2 and a half years of ‘nothing’ and follows our successful ‘Treasure Hunt’ in the summer, and last week’s Dinner.

9 teams took part, and veteran Quiz Designer and Quiz Master, Mal Fairhurst, did not disappoint.

After an epic battle, the quiz entered the final round with several teams in with a chance however at the end of that round two teams; We’re not Really Here, (University of Leicester) & Clive Creole and the Coconuts found themselves tying for top of the table with 105.5 points each.

After the inevitable Decider Round and Tie Break Clive Creole and the Coconuts captained by Joan Higginson from Boolers finally triumphed by just one question. We have never had such a tight finish at the top of the table but congratulations to both teams for such an excellent performance.
