Presenting in Business: Training from Leicester CII

We are offering a half-day training session designed to improve the skills and confidence of professionals in the insurance industry. Participants will have the opportunity to develop and deliver three short presentations following demonstrations and guidance from an experienced presentation skills trainer. ‘Telling the business story’ will be key in helping participants develop confidence and be effective presenters. They will work on how to create a presentation. They will practice delivery, including opening in an interesting way and closing with clarity. They will also explore the effective use of PowerPoint slides and how to handle a Q & A. Every participant will speak three times and will be recorded. The training is free to members. Whilst it is open to any member, we anticipate that it will be most beneficial for younger members.

The trainer will be Walter Blackburn, a professional presentation skills trainer, who has 40 years’ experience of presenting in business at all levels, including training presenters and trainers. 

There will be a maximum of ten on the course to ensure that everyone gets a chance to perform. Places are first-come first-served. To book a place, please email keithtorrance@enterprise.net
