- Understand the origins and production of tea
Guests will explore how geography, cultivation, and processing methods (e.g., oxidation, roasting, rolling) shape the character of different tea types. - Master the basics of proper brewing
Attendees will gain practical knowledge of water temperature, steeping times, and leaf‑to‑water ratios, and understand how these variables influence the final cup. - Compare and contrast tea styles
Participants will evaluate differences between black, green, white, oolong, and herbal infusions, learning how to distinguish them through sight, scent, and taste. - Appreciate tea as a cultural and sensory experience
Guests will discover the cultural significance of tea around the world and reflect on how environment, ritual, and personal preference shape enjoyment
Enjoy cake while you sample each type of tea and get to make your own sample to take home!
