The CII's local institute network delivers an extensive range of professional CPD events, networking opportunities and social activities to members across the UK, Isle of Man and Channel Islands.

Each institute is run by a dedicated group of volunteers, who work together to shape a local offering for members in their area and are always looking for more people to join council.

Could you find new purpose in 2024 by becoming a volunteer?
Volunteering on a local institute council offers unique opportunities, helps support your professional development and can enhance your professional profile.

  • Learn new transferable skills - including event management, communications, or public speaking.
  • Make new connections – which can enhance your visibility and further your career.
  • Help to shape and deliver engagement activities - from CPD events to social activities – a unique membership proposition developed by members for members.

Take a few moments to explore this leaflet  to find out more about this exciting opportunity and hear directly from other members – just like you – who have joined their local institute’s council.

Ready to take that next step?
Joining your local institute’s council can be challenging, exciting, and rewarding. To find out more about local opportunities, simply contact your local institute’s President who will be happy to have an informal chat about how you can get involved.

You will find their contact details  here.
