Speaker
As a commercial Airline Pilot of over twenty years, Mark saw first-hand the effects of sleep deprivation on the health, safety, performance and wellbeing of friends and colleagues in the sector. Seeing the effects of failed medical exams from sleep disorders, with no route back to work, he took the opportunity to retrain and set up his clinic ‘Sleep-Focus’.
Mark has studied with the Institute of Counselling in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Clinical and Pastoral Counselling. Having chosen to specialise in Sleep Therapy, he has been especially grateful to be allowed to study with the Sleep Consultancy in Edinburgh as an Advanced Practitioner of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for Insomnia. Mark works with clients living with a broad range of sleep disorders, from insomnia, depression & anxiety, sleep apnoea, and shift work sleep disorder. His work has allowed him to see firsthand how the sustained benefits of good restorative sleep are life changing for both mental and physiological health.
