This webinar will provide an overview of the implications of the Act for the insurance market, including a shift in the burden of proof, the requirement for a golden thread of information on the life cycle of a building, decision points for work on High Risk Buildings and mandatory occurrence reporting.

  • The main requirements of the Building Safety Act (BSA) 2022
  • How these changes are impacting the duration and cost of repairs to buildings following a claim
  • The specific implications for insurers of High Rise Buildings (HRB)
  • Why there are implications for providers of professional indemnity insurance
  • The role loss adjusters can play in ensuring compliance with the Act

Glyn Brookes-Humphrey, Director of Commercial Property Operations, Woodgate & Clark

Glyn has worked in insurance claims handling for over 30 years, with over 25 of those spent in loss adjusting. Starting his career as a claims handler with exposure to all classes of property and motor claims, Glyn moved into commercial property adjusting in 1999, before moving into operational management.
