How prioritising your mental and physical health will make you a better leader.

To lead others well, leaders must be able to calm and control their emotions, make time to lead and to maintain a healthy balance in their lives.

Ian Ferguson and Rory Ferguson from Help to Grow specialise in work-life integration. Training the next generation of Leaders to lead themselves with as much focus and dedication as they lead others, ensuring long successful and sustainable careers.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify your Values and how to use these to Lead Authentically.
  • Discuss the importance of Situational Leadership and identifying your Core Style of Leadership.
  • Explain the 3Ps model of Purpose, People & Pace and how focussing on these provides not only the foundation of great leadership, but clarity of action in an ever more complex world.
  • Look at answers for why, when we know in our hearts we should not sacrifice Health and Happiness in pursuit of Wealth, we often do it anyway?
  • Your body is not just transport, and your mind is not invincible. How prioritising your mental and physical health will make you a better leader and give you an advantage over those who do not.

There will be a networking opportunity from 12:30 with the talk starting at 1pm.

This event will take place in-person at Aviva's offices in Perth, just off the Glasgow Road. For non-Aviva staff, please bring with you proof of ID as this may need to be checked at Aviva's reception.
