2023 CII & PFS AWARDS – Nominations

Back again for another year to recognise those who have gone the extra mile.

Some new categories have been added, please have a read of the below.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Award

This new award is for those individuals who can demonstrate a significant commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. Is your team/organisation recognised for/effective with its initiatives, culture, policies etc that truly encourage diversity and inclusion in the workplace?

Or are you an inspiration for those who are otherwise under-represented in this profession?

Customer Service Champion

This award is to recognise an individual or a team who put their customers at the centre of everything they do and can demonstrate measurable impact for their business. Do you have an exceptional attitude to customer service? Are you known for going the extra mile with your customers?

Perhaps you have challenged the way of working at your business and inspired solutions to service problems? Or have you got a story about how you collaborated successfully across disciplines, creating a successful business result?

Achiever & Young Achiever Awards 2023

These awards are to publicly recognise those high-achieving individuals who have made a unique or considerable contribution within the local insurance and financial services industry. Have you demonstrated exceptional performance in your workplace, or worked hard towards a recent achievement that deserves recognition? Or perhaps you have made a considerable contribution to increasing professionalism and/or trust within the local institute area or the local community?

Wellbeing Champion

This award is to recognise those who have been instrumental at their organisations in promoting the benefits of physical and mental health wellbeing within the workplace and beyond. Have you been involved in initiatives or activities that encourage better wellbeing? Are you or your team recognised for fostering a good work/life balance?

President’s Gold Star Award

Another new award for 2023, this one is to give recognition to an individual or team who can demonstrate the contribution they have made to their local community. Nominations for this award can range from delivering a challenging project through to providing support and kindness during a difficult period.

How to enter

Do you know someone (or is it you?) who has demonstrated the above qualities? If the answer is yes, then we invite you to submit your nomination.

All you need to do is tell us who you are nominating and why. Please email your short synopsis to: plymouthinstitute@cii.co.uk

All employees, from apprentices through to owners/directors, are eligible to nominate themselves or be nominated for these awards that acknowledge not only their performance as an individual, but also the support they have received from their employer.

The Insurance Institute of Plymouth & Cornwall members, and companies within this area, both large and small are invited to participate. Nominees do not have to be existing CII/PFS Members but must be working in the Insurance and Financial Services profession.

Young Achiever nominations are for those 35 and under and Achiever awards are for those aged over 35.

For fairness, all eligible nominations will be anonymised before being shared with the adjudicating panel.

All nominations must be received by 3rd August 2023 to be considered.

The winners will be announced at the Plymouth Firework Championships Boat Cruise on 16th August 2023, and will receive an award and certificate of achievement. Before the event, those selected will be invited as guests of the Council on this trip beforehand (no cash or event alternative offered).

At the event, details of the winners will be made public, and this may also appear on the website and various social media.
