Sheffield Hallam University – Meet the Insurance Profession

The Insurance Institute of Sheffield (IIS) is once again arranging a joint event with Sheffield Hallam University, to introduce the world of insurance and financial planning to the next generation.

It will be a 3-hour event for the students (Freshers to Final Year students) on the Finance, Investment, Economics & Business, and Accountancy courses.

Agenda and Timings 

• 1.00pm - 2.00pm: set-up of stands etc

• 2.00pm - 2.10pm: Welcome – Damion Taylor of Sheffield Hallam University

• 2.10pm - 2.30pm: Introduction from a representative

• 2.30pm - 4.00pm: Presentations (several speakers)

• 4.00pm onwards: Meet and Greet with Representatives of the Insurance Profession

After the presentations in the Dorothy Fleming Lecture Theatre (Charles St building) the students will have the opportunity to talk to the companies’ representatives in the Deli area in the Stoddart Building (next to the Charles St building).  The Profession’s Representatives will be able to talk to the students about the part of the profession they belong to.

We’re looking for local businesses to support this event. We’re happy for you to bring a stand/company banner and any relevant material you may have. Refreshments will be available from 4.00pm onwards.
