We are very pleased to welcome Damian Glynn from Sedgewick to talk to us about the interesting case of the Salisbury Novichok Poisoning in March 2018 and the following insurance implications.

The session will consider the various ways in which BI policies may (or may not) have been able to respond to the challenges faced by businesses in Salisbury following the Novichok contamination in March 2018. Further traces of Novichok were identified in Salisbury and elsewhere. This seminar will consider the various ways that the incident has affected the city, and the scope of insurance policy response to those.

By the end of the presentation those attending will have a greater appreciation as to the different Business Interruption covers that could assist a policyholder whose business operations are affected in circumstances such as those that affected Salisbury.

About the speaker

The session will be delivered by Damian Glynn, Director, Head of Financial Risks BA (Hons) FCA FCILA FUEDI ELAE FIFAA, at Sedgwick. Damian chairs the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters (CILA) Business Interruption Group and has previously set BI examinations for the CILA.

Damian regularly runs financial loss seminars throughout the UK and is a published author about Business Interruption, including co-chairing a widely read report on BI wordings issued by the CILA and the IIL/CII (Chartered Insurance Institute).
