Session Overview:

Pension Hot Topics – session covers a range of current pension hot topics, from the latest view’s on potential tax relief reform and any possible drivers for change to the state pension, to the latest Pensions Freedoms statistics and customer behaviours and finally pension death benefits in the news including The Staveley Case outcome.

Timing: Registration with tea/coffee & bacon rolls at 8:30am, session starts at 9am

  • The latest retirement income statistics and customer behaviours.

  • Pension death benefits in the news.

Presenter: Gareth Davies, Specialist Pensions Development Manager at Scottish Widows

Gareth Davies is a Specialist Pensions Development Manager at Scottish Widows dealing with technical and legislative aspects of both corporate and individual pensions.

Gareth has over 30 years’ experience in the life and pensions industry working for major product providers, and over 15 years’ experiences as a pensions specialist.

Gareth regularly speaks at industry and trade events, and he is a chartered Financial Planner, a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society and holds the Investment Management Certificate.
