 Macro Spotlight-General Market Overview and update on key themes. 

Retirement Income Solutions- John will be covering three real-life retirement income case studies and explore the ways Brooks Macdonald income solutions can satisfy your client needs. 

Learning objectives

By the end of this session:

  • Advisers will identify  both the principal unforseen risks posed by the current macroeconomic investment environment - understand how to apply these to investors seeking to generate an income in retirement.
  • Understand how a time-based investment approach to providing retirement income can help mitigate the consequences of sequencing risks for clients. 
  • Through a series of client case studies, acknowledge the value of personalised income planning and the application of specific solutions to match specific client needs. 

John Sadgrove-Investment Director Brooks Macdonald.

John joined Brooks Macdonald in 2011 and manages portfolios for charities, private clients, trusts, and pensions.

Prior to joining Brooks Macdonald, John worked at Clarke Willmott LLP for 16 years where he was involved in the set-up of their private client investment team. Prior to that John also worked at Lloyds Bank, Laing & Cruickshank and Neilson Cobbold during his 30 years of experience in investment management.

John is a Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) Chartered Wealth Manager and is a Fellow of the CISI.

John is involved in a number of charities, including advising the Finance Committee of a large Hospice Charity in his spare time.
