PFS F2F Meeting -4 months to go: How pension reforms are reshaping IHT planning and where

Session Overview: 

An adviser-focused session unpacking the upcoming pensions reforms and what they mean for your clients’ Inheritance Tax strategies. 

Qualifying for 1 hour of structured CPD, Elizabeth Greene from TIME Investments will cover the evolving role of pensions in IHT planning. 

She will showcase practical tools to support client conversations including client facing guides to IHT, and a live demonstration of an IHT calculator which allows for a liability comparison between pre and post pension changes. 

She will then run through the ten most common Business Relief (BR) scenarios focusing on those that have arisen, or are becoming more appealing, due to the upcoming changes. 

Learning objectives

By the end of this session the attendees will:

  •  Understand IHT trends and opportunities
  • Highlight clients’ retirement consideration and how various estate planning solutions could help
  • Uncover various client planning scenarios using Business Reli

Elizabeth Greene-Business Development Director, Time Investments

Alongside Kate Piercy, Elizabeth develops relationships with advisers across Devon, Cornwall, and Wales.

Elizabeth started in financial services in 2007 and held various fund structuring and fundraising roles before joining TIME in 2017.

She holds a BA (Hons) degree in History and English from Durham University. Elizabeth is a proud member of SENDA which is the UK Alliance of Special Educational Needs and Disability Advisers.It aims to help all those providing advice to families of the disabled.

Outside of work, she can usually be found running on country lanes or in the garden with her two children and cocker spaniels.
