RO7 (Advanced Mortgage Advice) Pre Exam Training - online distance learning event

The Personal Finance Society Hants & Dorset and Surrey Regional Committees in association with the Insurance Institutes of Bournemouth, Guildford, Reading and Southampton have organised training for those members who are studying for and taking the R07 examination.

Designed to help candidates feel more prepared for the exam, delegates will have covered the key areas of the syllabus and will have been introduced to the exam format and adopting a suitable exam technique.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic the Regional Committees have suspended all Face to Face events for 2021 and this event will be run as an Online Distance Learning event.

The trainer is highly experienced and qualified in the subject matter, and as importantly, in how to deliver an effective and productive online interactive training session, ensuring all candidates are fully engaged and maximise the learning experience.

The RO7 preparation day aims to increase your chances of passing the exam and will cover the following areas:

• Overview of the paper – tips and techniques
• Taxation of property ownership – CGT, Stamp Duty, Income Tax and VAT. Case Studies and complex calculations
• Specialised lending schemes – foreign financing, bridging, equity release, Islamic Mortgages, Buy to Let, Help to Buy and Secured Loans
• Multiple choice tests to capitalise the learning
• Property Law - Scots Law, Tenure and Reform
• Financial difficulties – state support, lender backing and possession proceedings
• Trainer facilitation of case studies analysing complex client situations – these represent 20 very difficult marks in the exam, they are multifarious and challenging. By the end of the course, delegates will have covered the key elements of the RO7 syllabus and what is required to pass the examination.

Cost: The cost of the days training will be £49 for PFS members and £59 for non-PFS members.
