Although vilified, stress can often be vital and helpful, motivating us to achieve goals and meet demands of day-to-day life. However too much stress can negatively affect our mental health, physical health and our relationships – causing a cascade of difficulties.

By attending the event, delegates will learn:

  • What steps you can take to better understand your stress
  • How burnout is different, but connected to, stress
  • Strategies to better manage your stress

>> Speaker Biography

Jen Clay is the Fundraising and Partnership Manager at Oakleaf Enterprise, a mental health charity based in Guildford, Surrey.

Jen has a background in mental health and fundraising, having worked at numerous organisations in the United States, South America and the UK over the past decade. She holds an MSc in Global Mental Health and has published research focused on reducing the stigma of mental illness.

Jen is also a Support Worker at the Oakleaf-based Guildford Safe Haven, a service providing out of hours help and support to people who are experiencing a mental health crisis or emotional distress.
