Fruit cargoes are vulnerable to spoilage at every stage of their journey, from harvest through to delivery. In this webinar, Forensic Plant Pathologist, James Townsend shares how forensic investigation can uncover the causes of cargo damage.

Drawing on real-world investigations, James will highlight the critical factors that influence fruit quality during storage and transport, including harvesting practices, temperature control, humidity management, and packaging technologies. James will explore how improper handling, pest infestations, and mould growth can lead to spoilage, and how forensic techniques are used to trace the root cause of damage, whether it occurred in the field, during storage, or in transit.
