This training session provides an overview of the different structures of Family Investment Companies along with a high-level discussion of the tax implications.
We will discuss typical structures we see in practice, the pros and cons of FICs and scenarios where they may be an option for individuals as part of their wider tax planning.

David leads our Family Business Advisory (“FBA”) service offering for tax nationally, working closely with family, owner-managed and entrepreneurial clients, ensuring we share sector knowledge, market insights and provide proactive advice to FBA businesses. Working alongside specialist tax colleagues to provide holistic tax planning opportunities and services.
Nicola Clough -Tax Director
Nicola is a Private Client Tax Director with over 20 years experience focusing on entrepreneurial and family businesses, understanding her clients’ long term personal and business goals.
Nicola’s experience includes providing support throughout the lifetime of a business from establishment, growth, succession planning and legacy to transactional exit planning. Nicola advises capital gains tax planning, transactional tax advice, inheritance tax, trust planning and works regularly with the RSM International network.
