Speaker: Angela Rogers, City of London Police
This lecture will provide a unique insight into insurance fraud and how the Insurance Fraud Enforcement Department is tackling the issue. DCI Rogers will also discuss key case studies in insurance fraud, and how the insurance industry can assist the police in fighting fraud.

Who should attend? This lecture will be relevant to all insurers, brokers and loss adjusters with an interest in this area.

By the end of this session, you will be able to:
- Describe the background of the IFED and the progress it has made in fighting insurance fraud
- Discuss the importance of a Strategic Threat Assessment
- Outline the key difficulties and barriers the police face in fighting fraud
- Discuss prominent case studies and their implications on the insurance sector

Speaker's biography
Angela Rogers, a Detective Chief Inspector from City of London Police, began her role as Head of the Insurance Fraud Enforcement Department in January 2015. DCI Rogers previously served as the Deputy Head of the IFED from October 2011 to August 2013, where she managed the implementation of the unit from the project phase. Prior to her role at the City of London police, Angie held various law enforcement roles at Hertfordshire Constabulary from 1991 to 2005.
