Overwork stress claims are the focus of this talk rather than bullying and harassment. Our speaker, Roddy Macleod has considerable experience of these types of claims & he will highlight the key points you need to establish if you are to successfully bring or defend such claims.

Learning Objectives
By the end of the lectures, delegates will be able to:
- understand the law
- discover what are the important hurdles to get over to establish liability?
- identify the evidence you need?

Speaker biography
Roddy is a Partner at Weightmans LLP Manchester Office. He has specialised in stress claims since the landmark case of Walker v Northumberland County Council was decided in 1994.

Since then he has dealt with over 1000 occupational stress claims including overwork, bullying, harassment and discrimination claims. He is instructed by a number of large insurers and by organisations directly. As stress claims occur over a long period of time, these instructions are often at an early stage pre-litigation and on occasions even before a claim has been presented.
