Title: General Data Protection Regulation May 2018

Time: 9:30am start, 11:30am finish

Speaker: Clare Edwards, Hill Dickinson LLP

Discussing some of the key changes that will be implemented in May 2018 under the General Data Protection Regulation, and how this will affect the industry. Look through some of the steps that will need to be taken now to ensure that businesses are best-placed to deal with the changes, and provide an insight into the likely approach of the ICO when taking enforcement action under the GDPR.

Delegates will be provided with discussion points and scenarios to test their knowledge and application of the new requirements.

By the end of the session, delegates will be able to:
• Identify some of the key changes due, and be able to apply those to brokers / intermediaries, and insurers
• Recognise risk areas for their organisation
• Appreciate some basic measures that can be used to mitigate against risk of data breaches
