Speakers Biography
Joe Orme is an Associate solicitor in the Employment, Education and Pensions team at international law firm, Hill Dickinson. Joe is a data protection and freedom of information practitioner and trainer with a particular interest in complex subject access requests, third party requests for data and the application of statutory exemptions. Joe practiced in Hill Dickinson’s Insurance Business Group for several years prior to moving into his current practice. He predominately worked on defending professional indemnity claims for PI insurers, but also handled large loss injury claims for manufacturing and retail clients. His knowledge of the current data protection regime and the insurance sector are a solid basis upon which to advise on the forthcoming General Data Protection Regulation. Joe offers pragmatic advice and assistance for a variety of clients on all things data protection.
