The Insurance Institute of Manchester is happy to announce that we will be running a DIVE IN event on Wednesday 26th September at the Chamber of Commerce in Manchester city centre.

Dive In is helping insurance get fit for the future, highlighting the business case for diverse and inclusive workplaces and providing practical ideas and inspiration for how to bring about positive change.

The event will give an overview of some of the positive work being rolled out by the Chartered Insurance Institute and feature key speaker Keegan Hirst.

Keegan Hirst is a rugby league player. He is captain of Batley Bulldogs, having previously played for Bradford Bulls, Hunslet Hawks in 2008, Dewsbury Rams and Featherstone Rovers. He is divorced with two children. In an interview with the Sunday Mirror in August 2015 he came out as gay, becoming the first British professional rugby league player to do so.

Programme:

  • The CII, diversity and inclusion – Tali Shlomo (CII People Engagement Director) will talk through some of the positive work the CII has rolled out to support diversity and inclusion.
  • Local institutes and inclusivity – Colin McFarlin ACII (CII Diversity Champion) will talk about how the CIIs local institute network is fully embracing diversity and inclusion to benefit CII members locally.
  • Keegan Hirst - Key Speaker
