In Person Event: Working From Home & Hybrid…Without Forgetting Health and Connection

If you were WFH and not feeling at your best, what would you do?
A. Call in sick
B. Keep working at a slower pace, masking how you’re really feeling
C. Take small steps to prioritise your health while maintaining productivity
In today’s WFH and hybrid workplaces, many people choose B, quietly working despite sub-optimal mental and physical health. This presenteeism can reduce productivity and increase loneliness. Research shows 30.9% of remote workers experience loneliness, and reports such as Keep Britain Working highlight that many managers feel unsure how to start conversations about health and wellbeing, allowing presenteeism to remain hidden.
This workshop explores science-backed, practical strategies for both individuals and managers to prioritise wellbeing and build authentic connections while working remotely. Using the READY method, participants will learn small steps to leap their health and connection, helping more people move from B to C.
Attendees will explore:
- Why presenteeism, and e-presenteeism, must be prevented
- Greater awareness of the health habits that hinder or help productivity when working from home or in hybrid roles
- The importance of connection, tackling loneliness, and supporting others as both a manager and an individual
- How to apply the READY Method- Rest & Recovery, Eating Well, Activity, Distraction Management, and You
- Taking ownership and driving motivation for the small steps that leap health, connection, and productivity when WFH & Hybrid
