Webinar - Money Laundering and Financial Crime, the risks and how to identify them
The issue of money laundering has been brought to the fore recently due to the sanctions imposed against Russia and the challenges companies are facing in identifying Russian assets. The Government also published its final position on Companies House reforms ahead of introducing legislation that will change the Registrar’s statutory role from being a largely passive recipient of information to an active gatekeeper over company creation and a custodian of more reliable data. Graham Barrow, Director of The Dark Money Files, will highlight the issues and the best possible ways to identify the risks.

How to successfully conduct staff appraisals in the insurance industry
It is becoming increasingly difficult for Insurers, brokers, loss adjusters and IFA’s to recruit and retain quality staff. The reality is that at the moment the demand for qualified experienced quality staff in insurance far exceeds the availability of these staff in the marketplace, and so undertaking a great staff appraisal process is vital in ensuring you retain and motivate your staff. Even if you are not yet a team leader or manager, this presentation can be helpful, as it will explore how you can create realistic targets with your employer.

Directors and Officers Insurance Overview
The webinar will briefly explain the history of D&O and how the D&O marketplace is changing dramatically due to the economy. The sad fact is that many businesses will struggle badly over the next few years and lots of redundancies will have to be made. This will result in a sharp spike in both Directors and Officers and Employment Liability Practices claims. The market will harden and that is why it is essential brokers have conversations with their clients now. It should also be noted that many more directors are being sued individually and that the amount of HSE prosecutions have trebled against individual directors since 2015. This is no longer a cover that ANY director can ignore, and ironically if a director refuses D&O without consulting their fellow directors they have massively increased their own personal D&O exposure!
