Get to Know Your Council - August Release

Name: Terri-Anne Bailey

Occupation/Industry Experience:

I currently work at an MGMA, Magenta, in Bury St Edmunds. My day to day roles include underwriting non standard household policies, training people, handling complaints and dealing with the non disclosure claims cases. I have been at Magenta now for just over 3 years. Prior to that I worked at Aviva, underwriting Highnet worth policies for just over 11 years..

How long have you been on the Insurance Institute of Norwich’s Council?

Since 2022.

What is your role, and what does it involve?

Being so new, I am getting to grips and up to speed with the responsibilities of the council. My role at the moment is to support the other council members with their roles.

Why did you decide to join the Council?

I joined the committee to share the knowledge that I have gained with others, to develop existing skills and learn new ones. It was also an opportunity to meet new people.

What are you most looking forward to in the forthcoming year on the Council?

I’m looking forward to getting out and about, once I’ve settled in! I’ve also heard lots of good things about the annual charity dinner and the events that will be taking place in due course.

Tell us one unusual fact about yourself

I’m slightly obsessed with bunnies, I currently have 7 which are pampered pets and they’re all ages, shapes and sizes, the youngest being 10 weeks with the oldest at nearly 13! They get treated like royalty at mine!
