Get to Know Your Council - June Release

Name: Ami Cattrall

Occupation/Industry Experience:

I have worked for Marsh in Norwich for seven and a half years, starting as an agency temp in the Bowring Marsh team in 2016 before becoming a permanent employee a year later. I currently work as a Client Manager for the Specie broking team.

How long have you been on the Insurance Institute of Norwich’s Council?

I’m very new! I officially joined the council on 17 May 2023, although I had attended the two previous meetings including the AGM.

What is your role, and what does it involve?

I don’t have an official role at present, so I will be learning how the council works and how best to get involved, as well as attending the meetings and voting on council initiatives.

Why did you decide to join the Council?

Insurance is a huge industry in Norwich with many different companies operating in the area. I wanted to network with other insurance professionals outside of my own company, as well as increase my knowledge of the industry.

What are you most looking forward to in the forthcoming year on the Council?

Getting to know the council members and getting involved! I’ve heard great things about the Annual Dinner too.

Tell us one unusual fact about yourself

I’m very creative and spend a lot of my free time on various arts and crafts. One of the more unusual mediums I work with is making collages out of used postage stamps, which has led to a collection of over 10,000 stamps from all over the world to use in my art (none of them valuable, sadly).
