What is Negligence anyway?
Most professionals would have some understanding of the term “negligence” but what does it actually mean? When has the court found in favour of the claimant and when has it not? Is there really a compensation culture and are there any steps you can take to protect yourself from spurious claims?
Learning Objectives:
At the end of this event, the delegate will be able to identify:
• the hurdles to proving negligence
• negligence in different circumstances; and IFA and non-client, banks and clients
• what contractual steps can be taken to protect an adviser.
