Overview

A presentation covering the wide array of services provided by FRL using case studies to show the alternative application of forensics in all different areas; which may well surprise some delegates and will hopefully, provide added value to their case load and clients.

Especially useful for insurers, loss adjusters and solicitors although the alternative application of our services can be used by the vast majority of professionals; as will be highlighted.

Speaker Biography

Abi Carter, is founder and director of Forensic Resources, a company that provides forensic and expert witness services to defence teams, fraud investigators, insurers, loss adjusters, HR departments and private clients.

A Forensic Archaeologist by profession, she originally trained to investigate international human rights violations and worked on evidence from the genocide in Srebrenica, Bosnia & Herzegovina, before setting up her own business.

Abi is frequently called upon to give interviews and opinions by the media. She has been on BBC Radio Wales Jamie and Louise programme, ‘Good Evening Wales’, ‘Drive Time News’ and the BBC News Channel and has given ministerial speeches.

The most famous cases that FRL have worked on to date are the Raoul Moat (Sky News) and Joanna Yeates cases.

Abi grew up in the Middle East but her Welsh roots lead her to set up her business in Cardiff and now sits on the Welsh board for the charity Remembering Srebrenica.

• brainstorm of delegate past cases that could have been enhanced with the use of forensics
• Q&A session to further reinforce specific skills to scenarios/cases
• an ability to think laterally with regards to investigations.
