Sarah is a Chartered Insurer and has over 20 years of industry experience gained within a branch network and head office environment, holding a variety of broker, technical underwriting and Management roles.

Sarah joined Pool Re in 2013 as a Technical Manager and is now Head of the Commercial and Customer Engagement Team, focused on providing an excellent customer service across the areas of Technical (underwriting), Claims and Distribution.

Objectives

  • The introduction of & the outline of key aspects of the Pool Re scheme
  • Consider how the threat of terrorism in UK has changed over time and will continue to do so.
  • Examine why supported pooling mechanisms continue to be necessary
  • Consider recent terrorist events in UK 2017 and how these illustrate the dynamic nature of the risk.
  • Understand how terrorism can be modelled and how Pool Re/cover is evolving in the face of the changing nature of threat
