Road Traffic Accident Investigations with Burgoynes

Speaker - Road Traffic Accident Investigation
Road accident investigations often involve complex evidence that can be hard to explain clearly. Computational simulations help turn this information into simple visual sequences that show how a collision happened. They allow us to test different scenarios, compare them with the physical evidence, and present clear findings that clients and courts can easily understand. Using real case examples, this presentation shows how simulations improve accuracy, clarity, and confidence in road accident reconstruction reporting.
About the Speaker, Dr Kenny Santos:
Kenny completed his PhD in mechanical engineering in 2024, developing expertise in road traffic accident investigation specialising in road traffic collision reconstruction, road traffic collision dynamics, computational mechanics, and data science and machine learning. Kenny has given evidence in the criminal court in Portugal, and he has prepared numerous reports for court purposes.
Since joining Burgoynes, Kenny has been involved in the investigation of road traffic incidents with aspects of accident reconstruction, injury analysis, vehicle inspections and component failures.
