2017 Annual Dinner

Insurance Institute of Southampton Dinner Friday 17th February 2017 St Mary's Stadium Southampton

The Insurance Institute of Southampton is delighted to announce details of the Annual Dinner. This is a great networking and social event and a good opportunity for a special 'office' night. Details Tickets, which include a four course meal and coffee, are priced at £60.00 each. Tables are available for groups of 10, individual guests and groups of 2 to 9 are most welcome and can be accommodated.

We also offer a Southampton Institute Table for any member of IIS who wishes to attend and enjoy the evening in the company of other members. Bars and access to the Mike Channon suite will be available from 6.30 p.m. with dinner formally from 7.30 p.m.

We are very pleased to be welcoming Andy Barrow as our guest speaker. Andy Barrow is a triple Paralympian and three-time European gold medallist. He was a professional Wheelchair Rugby player for Great Britain for over a decade, captaining the team for five years spanning the 2008 Paralympic Games in Beijing. Andy competed at London 2012 Paralympic Games before retiring internationally to pursue a career as an inspirational speaker and mentor. Andy began playing Wheelchair Rugby in 1998 after suffering a spinal cord injury during a Rugby game the previous year, which left him paralysed from the chest down with limited use of his hands. In 2002, he made his International debut at the World Championships in Gothenburg and hasn't looked back since. Now retired from International competition, Andy is an inspirational speaker and mentor. He is the lead athlete in the "Athlete Inspiration Programme" (AIP), a series of presentations running throughout Greenwich schools, that has just begun its third year. Andy also runs a successful project with long time sponsors Chaucer, where he creates volunteering opportunities for employees, who help him to run team-building days for young people with challenges.

In keeping with the charitable aspect of the event the popular "Kings and Queens" fundraiser will help our efforts during the evening. We regularly raise over £3,500.00 for "The Insurance Charities". To reserve your places
