AF4 Day 1

The Personal Finance Society Hants and Dorset Regional Committee in association with the Insurance Institutes of Bournemouth and Southampton have organised a training day for those members who are studying for and taking the AF4 examination.

As AF4 is a large topic to cover, the training has been split into Day 1 and Day 2 to fully cover the subjects involved. Delegates are advised to attend both sessions. Priority will be given to Hampshire based members of the PFS Hants and Dorset Region.

The cost of each day’s training is £76.27 for PFS members and £86.41 for non PFS members. There is a maximum of 12 attendees. If we are oversubscribed, you will be placed on a waiting list.

The day will commence at 0930 sharp and finish by 1645.

The venue is the Shogun Business Centre, 12 Funtley Court, 19 Funtley Hill, Funtley, Fareham, Hampshire, PO16 7UX. There is parking on site.

For refreshments there will be tea/coffee and water available.

The AF4 preparation days aims to increase your chances of passing the exam.

AF4 is a challenging exam and candidates need to be well prepared if they are to have a reasonable chance of passing.

This will be very much a revision day so it’s important that you come with a reasonable knowledge of the main subjects of the syllabus.

Over the 2 days, delegates will cover:

  • The main methods of assessing the value of Bonds and Shares

The course trainer is John Trayner FCII FPFS, a CII approved trainer, who has supported the Personal Finance Society Hants and Dorset Region’s exam revision programme since 2018.

If you go to www.audley-training.co.uk you can access a lot of material that will help you prepare for the day. A good place to start would be the video tutorials and then go to the tax section. These cover almost all the material that might be tested. They are all quite short, typically 15 to 20 minutes so try and watch as many as you can ahead of the day.
