Annual Charity Golf Day
Once again, the event will take place at The Meon Valley Golf Club, Sandy Lane, Shedfield, Southampton, SO32 2HQ on Tuesday 2nd July 2019 commencing from 11.00 am, first tee time is at 11.30 am. An individual stableford off the yellow tees for men and red tees for ladies with a maximum handicap allowance 28 for men and 36 for ladies. Club or Society handicaps accepted but non handicapped male golfers will be required to play off a maximum of 24.
There will be prizes for both men and ladies in addition to a team prize based on the best three cards for teams of four. The individual winner and, possibly, the runner up, depending on the number of entries, will be invited to play in the Insurance Charities National Final at The Warwickshire Golf & Country Club, Leek Wootton, Warwick on Wednesday, 11th September, where they will be joined by two golfers from Southampton Insurance Golf Society to comprise a team representing the Insurance Institute of Southampton.
Following the golf there will be a two course meal with coffee followed by the prize presentation when we hope the President of the Insurance Institute of Southampton will be able to join us. There will be a raffle on behalf of the Insurance Charities and we ask each team leader if they can bring a bottle of wine or another item for the raffle prizes. Any additional donations to the prizes would be gratefully received.
Meon Valley offers a wide range of food and drink in the Zest Bar, where we will meet for registration, for those who need to refresh themselves before play.
The cost of the day is £45 or £25 for Meon Valley members.
