RO3 (Personal Taxation) Pre Exam Training, Thursday 7th November 2019, Bournemouth
The Hants and Dorset PFS Regional Committee in association with the Insurance Institutes of Bournemouth and Southampton have organised a training day for those members who are studying for and taking the RO3 examination. Priority will be given to Dorset based members of the PFS Hants and Dorset Region.
The cost of the day’s training will be £76.27 for PFS members and £86.41 for non-PFS members. Your attendance will be confirmed once the member has paid the fee invoice. There is a maximum of 12 attendees. If we are oversubscribed, you will be placed on a waiting list.
The day will commence at 0930 sharp (please arrive at 0900) and finish by 1630.
The venue is the MacAllister Suite, the Vitality Stadium, AFC Bournemouth, Dean Court, Bournemouth, Dorset, BH7 7AF. There is NCB parking by the stadium.
For refreshments there will be tea/coffee and water available. A finger buffet lunch will be provided. The Vitality Stadium does not permit delegates to provide their own lunch.
The RO3 preparation day aims to increase your chances of passing the exam.
The day’s course will cover the following areas:
- Understand the UK tax system as relevant to the needs and circumstances of individuals and trusts.
- Analyse the taxation of investments as relevant to the needs and circumstances of individuals and trusts.
- Analyse the role and relevance of tax in the financial affairs of individuals and trusts.
- Apply the knowledge of personal taxation to the provision of investment advice.
By the end of the course, delegates will have covered the key elements of the RO3 syllabus with the emphasis on the CII Learning Outcomes, will have been introduced to the exam format and adopting a suitable exam technique.
The course trainer is John Trayner FCII FPFS, a CII approved trainer, who has supported the Personal Finance Society Hants and Dorset Region’s exam revision programme since 2018.
