Melissa of “Motem”, with a wealth of experience in the financial sector, specialises in helping professionals to communicate so that they can sell more. Once a reluctant networker herself, Melissa has picked up many tips, devised new strategies & learnt new skills to improve her effectiveness & confidence.
Melissa will help you to become more confident & effective in raising your profile and meeting new contacts. The interactive & practical session will be structured around what to do before, during & after a typical event to help you maximise opportunity. You will learn how to:
- Prepare so they you’re networking with a purpose – using a checklist
- Get started in a busy room when you don’t know anyone
- Get in & out of conversations easily
- Have the effective 5-step networking conversation
- Demonstrate your credibility through using conversational stories
- Follow up professionally without being a pest
- Avoid making the one mistake that will ruin your chances of being successful
In today’s demanding times, the strength of our network has never been more important. But while networking events may be a key route to market, many young professionals find them difficult, frustrating & awkward.
The Young Professional Launch Event will be held at Ashcroft Centre, Osborn Road, Fareham, PO16 7DX, on Thursday 10th January, commencing at 5pm for 6.30pm.
