Active listening and non-judgemental communication are super powers for successful leaders. This session is aimed at anyone wishing to elevate their communication skills. The aim of the session is help attendees to understand the benefits of active listening and non-judgemental communication, and how they can both be put into practice, to contribute to a psychologically safe and healthy workplace.

Objectives:

  1. By the end of the webinar, participants will be able to identify at least three practical active listening techniques to elevate their listening skills.
  2. Participants will understand the benefits of active listening, how it can contribute to a safe and healthy workplace and how it might help them outside of work.
  3. Participants will leave the session equipped to listen at a deeper level, and to communicate in a way that is supportive and none judgemental.
  4. The session will provide evidence-based insights into the relationship between healthy communication, psychological safety, and employee wellbeing.

Speaker bio – Jay Unwin

Jay Unwin brings a wealth of lived experience and academic insight to the field of wellbeing and stress management. As a psychology postgraduate and lifelong student of biology, he’s also navigated personal challenges including burnout, cancer, depression, and managing a chronic stress-related condition - fibromyalgia. These experiences have not only shaped Jay’s perspective but have driven him to develop an innovative and passionate approach to helping individuals and organisations improve wellbeing and performance
