2025 Rising Star Award Nominations - Now Open!

We are excited to announce that nominations for the 2025 Rising Star Award (formerly the Young Achiever of the Year) are now open! This award recognises and applauds the outstanding achievements of rising stars within our local Insurance and Financial Services profession in East and West Sussex.

Do you know someone who fits at least one of the following criteria? Or perhaps it's you!

Insurance/Financial Services Professionalism: Has made a significant contribution to increasing “Insurance/Financial Services Professionalism” within the local institute area or the local community.

Sustainability: Can demonstrate a commitment and achievement towards a sustainability agenda to support the profession’s goals in this critical area, either through their own job role or specific project engagement in the workplace.

Diversity & Inclusion: Can demonstrate a commitment and achievement to support the profession’s goals on diversity and inclusion, either through their own job role or specific project engagement in the workplace.

Outstanding Performance: Has demonstrated outstanding performance within their role.

Personal & Professional Development: Can demonstrate a commitment and achievement towards their own personal and professional development.

• Nominees do not have to be existing CII/PFS members.

• There is no age criteria but we will be considering people who have been in the Insurance/Financial Services market from 1-10 years. Those who have taken a career break can also apply.

All eligible nominations will be adjudicated by a panel of up to six people comprising a representative from the Award Sponsor, plus council members of the Insurance Institute of Sussex. The panel will choose a short-list of three, from whom the overall winner will be chosen.

The three short-listed finalists selected by the panel will be invited to the Insurance Institute of Sussex Annual Dinner on 30 January 2026.

At the event, details of the overall winner of the Rising Star Award will be made public.

NFU Mutual Chichester & Horsham has kindly agreed to sponsor this event by awarding £400 to the winner.
