Martin's recent webinar has been well received by those who watched it live, so we are giving members who could not join us, a chance to view the recording of his talk.

During the webinar, Martin looks at the most common fire protection measures available to property owners including:

• public fire fighting provision and how this has changed in recent years

• the basic elements of fire alarms and minimum expectations around the installation of fire extinguishers, fire blankets and hose reels

• sprinkler systems

• the main types of fire suppression and spark detection/suppression systems

Martin also discusses the benefits, limitations and insurers' attitudes to each of the above.

About Our Speaker
Martin Loose has more than 32 years’ experience within the Risk Control divisions of major commercial insurers (GRE and AXA). Until recently, he managed an operational team of surveyors; a role which included maintaining technical standards, staff development, regional technical support to underwriters and brokers as well as carrying out some property and business interruption surveys himself.

He is now a self-employed Risk Consultant undertaking surveys for insurance companies and brokers in the West Sussex area.
